New Book Release: “Monologue of the Daf”
Aryan Rezaee has recently released his latest publication, Monologue of the Daf, a significant work in the field of percussion. This book, unique in its form and structure, presents composed pieces for the Daf and other percussion instruments. Unlike traditional percussion accompaniments, the pieces are originally composed for Daf, with rhythm and melody added later. According to Rezaee, the work aims to inspire creativity and improvisation in Daf playing, providing a new perspective on the instrument.
The book includes pieces that feature backing tracks, further distinguishing it from other Daf publications. Aryan shares that this book reflects years of research, particularly his global study of rhythm and percussion techniques. The work combines both Eastern and Western influences, presenting Daf in an innovative light while respecting its traditional roots.
With this release, Aryan Rezaee contributes a novel approach to Daf performance, challenging conventional rhythmic practices and inviting musicians to explore new possibilities with the instrument.
